Tin Powder

METALLOYS Tin powders are manufactured from high purity Tin Slabs by Atomisation process. With a careful control for the temperature and flow of the molten metal vis-à-vis, the angle of shearing and the air pressure in the atomiser, such tin powders with a very high surface area as well as in a very rarely found irregular shaped nodules are obtained.

The moderate A.D. of these Tin powders, considered as very much compatible with that of copper Powder, while makes their blend homogeneous and avoids segregation, both during blending and during compaction, the high surface area and the irregular shapes provide for better compatibility with a very high green strength. Such compacts, after sintering, not only maintains the desired level of porosity, without compromising its strength, but during sintering also, the growth due to copper is well controlled due to these Tin powders.

The grades shown overleaf are standard ones. Tailor-designing for the specific individual requirements may be requested.
